A: Yeah, we’re moving. We have to sell our place, but then we’re moving into DC. Exciting!
Q: But you’re moving out now?
A: Yep. Gotta move out to paint all the walls and refinish the floors.
Q; So, they’re moving you into storage?
A: Right on. We’re keeping some stuff in a POD so the place is partially furnished when we move back in on Saturday.
Q: So, DC huh? Can’t talk you out of that?
A: Probably not. Find me a 1500+ sqft 3BR/2BA house in Arlington for less than half a mil and we’ll look at it, but probably not all that hard.
Q: Ouch, is it really that bad in Arlington?
A: Yes, and to preempt your next question, no we’re not moving further out.
Q: So where in DC?
A: We’re looking in Bloomingdale/LeDroit Park, Petworth, Brookland, Edgewood, Capitol Hill and H Street. We’ve cast a pretty broad net.
Q: But what about the kitties?!
A: Macro and Bokeh both hate us right now, but we’re keeping the pride together, and we’re all moving into the Marriott in Courthouse this afternoon for the week.
Q: So, what are you doing to the house?
A: New seal for the tub, patch the ding in it, new light fixtures in some places, new paint job (yeah, the accent walls are going bye bye), a sand & finish job on the floors. Exciting!
