Whew.  Real Estate is a weird world that I don’t understand.  It has a language all it’s own (is it fully available? Can we pull the permits on that?  Is the basement English, or just partially English? What are the contingencies?) that makes it a bit intimidating just on the face.

This morning, we went and saw this house in Brookland.  It’s 8 blocks east from the Metro, and the house itself is fantastic.  The kitchen is well appointed, and has room, and there’s a feel of real rooms to the whole thing.  The upstairs is not enormous, but the master has room for a nice queen size bed, and each of the others could take a double easily.  The basement has potential as an in-law suite, with room for a full-size or double bed in the true basement bedroom, and enough space for a TV and couch and whatnot.

The back yard isn’t big, but it will be of a good size for partying and whatnot.  We should be able to put in a parking pad, if we decide that it’s needed.

Color me cautiously optimistic.  We’re going to charge hard on this one.
