How do the parking meter checkers know that you’ve paid if you pay with your phone?
Great question. They’ve got hand-held machines to produce the tickets, and they’re supposed to check your license plate against a central database. They do this often, but every now and again, they just write you the ticket first. The good news is, Parkmobile will contest the ticket on your behalf, which is cool.
There’s an iPhone app for it, and I’ll have a review for WLDC later today.
